Writer/Director, Sabrina McCormick
Sabrina McCormick is a filmmaker who sees lived experiences through a sociological lens, revealing how the personal is political. She has produced and directed several award-winning documentary films, including two segments of the Emmy award-winning The Years of Living Dangerously. Her first film, No Family History,”followed the journey of a woman with breast cancer living in a cancer hotspot as she explored possible environmental causes of the disease; and it won Best Documentary at the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival. As an academic working in policy-relevant domains like climate change and health, McCormick has been a Science & Technology Policy Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science at the Environmental Protection Agency and a Robert Wood Johnson Health and Society Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania. She is Associate Professor in the School of Public Health and Health Services at George Washington University, and Senior Fellow at the Wharton Risk Management and Decision Processes Center at the University of Pennsylvania. She completed film work at Rhode Island School of Design and her PhD in Sociology at Brown University in 2005. FRACKTURED is Sabrina’s second narrative film. Her first, A Good Egg is currently on the festival circuit.
Producer, Elaine Del Valle
Elaine Del Valle is a WGA Writer, a SAG-AFTRA Signatory Producer and a member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. She was named Trendsetter at the Multicultural Media Forum 2013, a Soulfrito Arts Foundation Inspiring Artist, and a CNN Woman of Note. The New York Times called her autobiographical, Off-Broadway, one-woman play, Brownsville Bred, a triumph. Elaine owns and operates Del Valle Productions, which is a New York City production house that specializes in the production of independent films. Del Valle Productions has a successful casting division for feature film, shorts, NYC musicals, and national commercials. She recently cast her third feature film, Dark Rite by Richard Lemay and Rodrigo Bellott. Recent writing projects include the comedy webseries, Reasons Y I’m Single, The Bodega Series, and the adaptation of Brownsville Bred as a young adult fiction novel for Parachute Publishing. Elaine also served as producer for The Mark—a short film by Cannes award-winning director Taryn Kosviner, Lee Peterkin’s dark comedy Roses on the Lawn, and The Stockroom—a feature film by Victor Cruz. Del Valle is responsible for a first of its kind deal with HBO Latino for interstitial programming of the web series Gran'pa Knows Best, which she co-produces with William D. Caballero.
Director of Photography, Michelle McCabe
Michelle McCabe is the owner and operator of Nun Creative. McCabe has been a Director of Photography for 15+ years. Michelle began in the world of fashion, celebrity, and lifestyle still photography, working with some of the world's top photographers. She then went on her own, shooting fashion and lifestyle still photography for clients like Nordstroms, Italian Vogue, British Marie Claire, Italian and American Glamour, Seventeen, Grazie, Cosmopolitan, and more before transitioning to moving images. She was mentored through that transition by Michel Comte and Peter Arnell. Within a short period of time, Peter brought Michelle on board to shoot a commercial for Banana Republic and Michel Comte asked her to film a commercial for Dolce Gabbana featuring Isabella Rosselini and Kelly Lynch.
Michelle has shot commercials in Chile, Mexico, Venezuela, and extensively in Brasil, as well as, the US. She has shot documentary in USA, China, India, Afghanistan, Tanzania, Kenya, South Africa, Europe, Malaysia, Cuba, Thailand, Philippines, Brasil, and Ukraine.
